
The “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II” Technical Assistance Project is co-financed by the EU and The Republic of Turkey and is implemented by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of the Competitive Sectors Programme. TUBITAK is the end recipient of the assistance and offers a wide range of support for small and medium businesses in Turkey. The support includes partnering and networking events, a wide range of training courses and assistance with developing proposals and presentations under Horizon Europe.
The European Commission (EC) launched the ‘Horizon Europe’ programme at the beginning of 2021, and the ‘EIC Accelerator’ for innovative SMEs continues to be a major feature of SME support, along with other forms of assistance on research and development.
An important document for potential users of Accelerator is the European Innovation Council’s ‘Annual Work Programme 2022’ (see https://eic.ec.europa.eu/eic-work-programme-2022_en) which formally came into effect earlier this month. This document sets out the various forms of financial support available, the schedule of calls for proposals and details of what applicants must do to apply.
As a follow-up to the release of this Work Programme, the “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Project” would like to invite you to participate in a week filled with two distinguished events: webinar on ‘The EIC Accelerator Work Programme for 2022 – What’s in it for Turkish SMEs?’. While this webinar is going to focus on the newly released Work Programme, we will continue with a Project Writing Training which is going to consist of refinements in the three core topics used in the application process: ‘IDEATION’, ‘GO2MARKET’ and ‘DEVELOPMENT’ as well as other supporting material.
The webinar will use ‘Zoom’ conferencing software. It will be held on March 7th, commencing at 10:00 for approximately 2 hours. The Project Writing Training will be held also online on March 10th, commencing at 14:00 and ending at 17:00.
Any submissions to the EC must be made in English, the Webinar and the Project Writing Training will therefore be conducted primarily in English.
